our story

About half penny

Half Penny Farm is the little patch of land our family always dreamed of. In early 2025, we swapped the noise and rush of London for four empty acres near Southleigh, in the heart of the Devon countryside. It was just fields, woods and sky back then—but we saw the promise in it.

Since then, we've worked hard to make our farm as productive, varied and sustainable as possible. We’re completely off-grid, powered by the sun and drawing fresh water from our own supply. We have four polytunnels which will soon be brimming with veg, we've planted an orchard, grown a market garden, and welcomed free-ranging geese, turkeys, chickens and a few woodland-raised pigs.

With our ethos rooted in S.L.O.W. food (seasonal, local, organic, wild), we sell our delicious meat & veg to local restaurants and households, as well as using our produce in private dinners, markets, festivals and bespoke events.
